English Mid 19th Century Victorian Walnut Desk by T.H. Filmer & Son
English Mid 19th Century Victorian hand made walnut desk by cabinetmaker Thomas H. Filmer & Sons. The desk has turned spindle legs, a black leather writing area, and hand-painted bird design on a curved backing. The desk is on it's original castors. Incredibly well crafted with amazing detail. Desk locks are marked Hobbs (used from approximately 1860-1887) a locksmith in London that provided locks to the Bank of England. Maker marked with a plaque inside the drawer.
